Friday Update #20

Howdy, everyone! This week has been a pretty busy one, so haven't gotten much writing done. However, the week long of chapters ends today for Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles Volume 1. After today, the update schedule return to Fridays. I also posted an experimental fanfiction up on Wattpad, though that one won't have an exact schedule like my current posting fanfiction. You can see the latest posted chapters for Alien Chronicles here on FFNet and here on Wattpad. Also, first poll done and the other Log Horizon crossover coming in the following weeks will be called Log Horizon: Duet Worlds. I will be doing another poll possibly in January as I am planning to begin doing reviews on books, anime, and manga next year on this blog. How you enjoy the holidays and have a Happy New Year! Auto out!

Wattpad Upload "Log Horizon: Fae Trickster"

Merry Christmas! Auto here with an interesting upload to my account. This is a Wattpad only fanfiction, mostly due to it is a little side project. It's an experiment playing around with POV, not so much the other NarutoxLog Horizon crossover I mentioned(even though this experiment fanfiction is same crossover type). This story will update randomly, but I have it out in the open and updating due to I am hoping for some feedback as this is a bit of a tricky set up I am doing for this story and want to use it for a possible original story later. Decided to let it loose on Christmas with two chapters since I am also doing Alien Chronicles with two chapters today.

Log Horizon: Trickster Fae

Posting Status: Random

This is an experimental fanfiction I am posting mostly to see about an odd idea of POV. It's a public experimental fanfiction as I don't mind people taking some of these ideas as it would be neat to see such POV done in different stories.

Summary:Trickster Fae, a well known mercenary mini-guild of only three players within Elder Tales. Rumors and mystery surrounded this little guild from it defeating raids on its own to even being hired by the legendary Debauchery Tea Party for raids. What many people did not realize was the fact Trickster Fae was actually just one player: a newbie ninja who could program and mutli-box, Uzumaki Nauto. With passing the Genin Exam, Naruto decided to show his sensei, Umino Iruka, the game he played for years. However, on the night of the newest expansion goes live, both student and teacher finds themselves trapped within Elder Tales. However, their issues are compounded due to two facts: the auto-translator patch for their language did not follow them into the game and Naruto is trapped in not one, but all three of his characters. With joining up with Naruto's friends, both try hard to survive this game turned reality. However, the more the two discover of this new reality, the more they try to make sense of not just it, but of themselves as well.

Friday Post #19

Howdy, everyone! Got another chapter of Volume 2 of Log Horizon down and the chapters for this week are up on Wattpad and FFNet. Not much went on this week for me drawing and writing wise, mostly due to being quite a personal and work week for me. However, for Wattpad readers, an experimental fanfiction might be appearing on my Wattpad account soon. It's mostly expanding on a concept I will be hitting on in Alien Chronicles. When discussing it on someone else, realized I wasn't fully hitting the subject in my large fanfiction completely. But, I realized it's kind of unexplored territory with using it with the main character, hence going straight into something blind. Hence it will be an experimental fanfiction mostly to explore the idea and see how I could do it  along with discuss with fans how to possibly improve it and such. It will have random chapter updates compared to the weekly of Alien Chronicles and the random short fanfiction of the Misadventures in Training, though, don't know if I will launch it in December or January.

I am still working on the other Log Horizon crossover... But avoiding the next chapter till this afternoon as I swear the last two days, the instantly I began working on it, I was called into work for the night shift at my day job. Hence why the FFNet update was this afternoon instead of in the morning like I try to do it at. It is still developing at a good pace, so those who don't like gender bending will be seeing it in the coming weeks. However, hope you all are having a wonderful time preparing for the holidays next week. I have a special treat I for next week with it being Christmas. Auto out!

Friday Update #18

Howdy, everyone! This week has been a lax one for me, but gotten a little further with Volume 2 and a possible other fanfiction. This week chapters for FFNet and Wattpad are up for Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles Vol.1. Had to do a Thursday release due to I possibly had to work this Friday only to find out I did not have any work this Friday. Hence a double update with two chapters for both sites. However, speaking of work, I am expecting to get more work soon, so the day I do posts might change depending on the situation, so I will give a heads up if that is the case.

In other news, I am thinking I might post the other fanfiction I am working on. It is coming out well and not hampering my progress on the second volume for Alien Chronicles. However, it has to hit a certain number of chapters before I do so I can keep from tripping over myself as I done before. With how fast the chapters have been coming out, it won't be long. Hence, I have decided to try out Blogger's poll gadget and allowing people the chance to choose the name for this possible fanfiction. This is mostly a test run for future polls, but rather use it for useful poll than something random. Here's a small summary for along side the poll(don't know how to do something bigger than a question on it):

"The Black Sheep Adventurer is well known among the People of the Land due to he simply expresses emotions and speaks to them compared to other Adventurers. Na knows somewhat the world's system to keep Adventurers and People of the Land separate, experiencing the same two lives as Adventurers, yet is able to live in Theldisa like the People of the Land. When he heard of the new expansion, Na was expecting the same thing of just the world changing a little for new items and monsters to appear. What he did not expect was now all the Adventurers become just like him, truly living in their Adventurer's bodies. And most of all, that the natural laws of Thedlisa begin to bleed into the world his other life belongs: the world of ninja where Uzumaki Naruto lives."

I have the poll open for two weeks. I am not expecting to reach posting status for this at least till the end of December at the earliest. Hence the two week poll for the title. Hope you all vote, Auto out!

Friday Update #17

Howdy, everyone! Hope you are all having a great start to December! Just finishing upload chapter 7 to FFNet and chapter 8 to Wattpad for Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles Volume 1. On Volume 2 of the same story, I have gotten to chapter 7 writing wise. However, I have a little announcement. At this moment, I will have to officially put Digimon: Sinned Tamers and Persona: Parallel Paradox on hiatus. I am not dropping them, but a sort of miracle/curse has happened. My plot bunny brain is actually focusing on only two stories instead of bouncing around on multiple ones as it usually does. Downside of this is my brain refuses to let me write anything properly outside of said two stories as one of my betas found out this week when I attempted getting to work on Digimon: Sinned Tamers and Persona: Parallel Paradox.

One story is clearly Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles and kind of a good thing as the bigger the buffer I get this one, the better. That way, if I am forced to stop writing Alien Chronicles once I do get the the stories finally focused for the other fanfiction, I can put some serious focus on the other fanfiction without worries. The other is actually one I wrote the first chapter out to get it out of my head, but has kept going to where I am now about to work on chapter 5 and working both stories where when I finish a chapter for one story, I work on the other on next and vise versa. I won't be exposing what this story is until it hits where I feel I could handle posting it as I am thinking of a similar volume format to Alien Chronicles. However, will say it is another Naruto/Log Horizon crossover, but takes a whole different route compared to Alien Chronicles. Again, not making any promises on posting this second story, hence so little information. Well, hope you all are having a great day! Auto out!

Friday Update #16

Howdy, everyone! And happy holidays! This week has been pretty lax for me outside of writing. However, managed to get to chapter 5 of Volume 2 for Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles done and posted a new part of the Misadventures in Training series up: Why Can't I Do This Right. I am hoping this weekend to begin hitting Persona: Parallel Paradox and Digimon: Sinned Tamers, but I will at least probably keep working on Alien Chronicles if I can get onto them. Chapter 3, 4, 5, 6 of Log Horizon: Alien Chronciles Volume 1 is up on FFNet and Chapter 4, 5, 6, 7 is now live on Wattpad. However, hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving and survived Black Friday! Auto out!

Wattpad Upload: "Why Can't I Do This Right" Part 3 of the Misadventures in Training series

Howdy, everyone! The misadventures continue between tomboyish Sasuke and one reluctant Naruto with the newest part of the Misadventures in Training series: Why Can't I Do This Right. I have decided to make Why Me?, You're Gonna Kill Me, and Why Can't I Do This Right along with future short fanfiction continuing this story into a series called Misadventures in Training. This series will update randomly, but each part will be a short fanfiction that is complete at posting to make up for the random updates. The summary, tags, and link for Why Can't I Do This Right are below. Auto out!

Why Can't I Do This Right

Summary: Sasuke refuses to believe she cannot cook even with Naruto refusing to try any of her cooking. Wanting to keep another food poisoning incident from happening, Iruka offers both students a cooking lesson on bento that Sasuke jumps on. However, the more she tries to be like a true girl, the more she keeps failing. Can Iruka help Sasuke out before she ruins her relationship with Naruto? And why is Hinata spying on the whole cooking lesson to the point Naruto caught her in the act? Let the cooking disaster begin...

Friday Update #15

Howdy, everyone! Yesssss! I finally pay off my debt-Crap! Wrong reference! Sorry, Animal Crossing! However, Volume 1 of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles is done! Sorry for all the exclamation marks, but that basically means outside of proofing chapters, all chapters of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles Volume 1 are ready for posting. There is 40 chapters in all for Volume 1 including what is already posted. I even gotten the first chapter of Volume 2 typed up(it was burning in my skull). If I can get my buffer of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles up high enough, I am seriously considering posting Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles twice a week. However, at this moment, I am keeping it once a week as the current amount easily gives me time to keep working without major stress. Especially preparing the chapters for the coming holidays to ensure I can post with all the mayhem coming. Chapter 2 is now on FFNet and Wattpad has just got Chapter 3.

However, as mentioned, I am working on the next part of a series I started on Wattpad that I am calling "Misadventures in Training." It's a series of short fanfiction that started from a one-shot and I have the next part almost done. My rule with that series even though I randomly will update this series is I have to complete the short fanfiction part before I can post it. Hence the random updates for that series as it's not my main focus. My main focus are Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles and the other main stories I my plate. As mentioned in other posts, I will be trying to start typing out Persona: Parallel Paradox and Digimon: Sinned Tamers as well, but at this moment, I am trying to get Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles are very good buffer so I can take a break from it to work on those two stories. Though, I also have been getting the itch for the Monster Hunter Ninja story and a new crossover, though I will be instead hit Monster Hunter Ninja and writing down the crossover idea for future reference for later on as I won't be able to touch it till the big 6 planned fanfiction are done. Well, Auto out!

Auto's Anime Reviews: English Dubbed Log Horizon Episodes 1-13

Howdy, every! Auto here with another review, this time on the English dubbed episodes of Log Horizon. Specifically 1-13 since the first DVD release is just the first half of the season and the other half does not come out till January next year. And I binged watch them online, if that says anything. I realized I forgot to post this review on my blog after putting it on DeviantArt for the fangroup I am in who were wondering how the dub was like and posting it now. Like my small review of the first four episodes of the English dubbed episodes on DeviantArt for same fan group, I am planning to keep this review short and as spoiler free as possible… Okay, short maybe not, but I will try to keep this as spoiler free as possible. Mostly because if this studio doing the English dub gets Log Horizon on a major television network or streaming line, well, I will not be surprised if the Log Horizon fanbase easily goes up with just the English dubbed version.

Now, with reading what I wrote above, I will flat out say Log Horizon’s English dub is one of the best English dubs I seen in a long time. Not the best in history, but it still was a great surprise for someone who usually watches on subtitled anime like myself. However, if you a fan of the subtitle anime, this dub is not straight out translation, which is part of the reason I been seeing other people give this dub bad review without really going deeper. There’s a reason there is a 3-4 episode watch rule a lot of reviewers use before sometimes even putting a first impression on anything for a reason. For any fan of the Japanese dub Log Horizon, the English dub gives you one hell of an uncanny valley(that area where something seems similar, but is off and gives you a creepy feeling, which the horror genre uses a lot) when you watch the first episode: the tone is different, characters’ traits are different, and you can tell the pacing of the first episode(an issue many experienced anime watchers noticed)is rushing a lot more than in the subtitled version because of the changes.

Is this bad? Usually, that would be a yes. However, with Log Horizon, it’s the opposite. It’s actually because the English dub actually focuses on the source material more than the Japanese dub is the reason for the uncanny valley. It’s not a direct translation of the original anime as I mentioned, but a proper adaptation of the light novel in anime form. And the studio did this on purpose to mess with the subtitle watchers’ heads. Even dub watchers or new anime watchers will get this uncanny vibe, but it actually works to bring the tone the original Japanese dub was missing for the first few episode. That missing tone gave the Japanese version a more light hearted feel compared to the light novel. The English dub allows the watcher to jump into the first part of Log Horizon’s story that the Japanese dub failed to hit on the mark. A mistake of the Japanese dub that made it felt the first few episodes of a small adventure before we ended up getting into the meat that is Log Horizon. Though, still a slow start up, the English dub uses this to help build up the coming events compared to the original.

This first part of the Log Horizon story, which I will slightly spoil, is where everyone is trying to find what they are going to do. You see how the characters are desperately trying to find what the hell they are suppose to do any means whatsoever just to relieve the fear and stress their new found situation has put them in. Be it clinging to other people to keep your sanity, thinking their reality is still the game, or killing other players just to keep the mind numbing boredom away, we have a better building up of the morals questions various characters of the side and main cast being challenged with and forcing these characters to think hard of their situation and trying to find solutions to the ever growing problems they are facing. Even with the English dub avoiding the same questions of the old world as the Japanese dub that was in the light novel, the English dub managed to give us the unsteady feelings the characters and light novel had, hence we are actually put right in their shoes instead of watching their adventures before getting to the good stuff.

Another issue I see other reviewers are complaining about is the fact several character’s traits and personalities seemed to change in the English dub. Now, yes, this is the case, but before you simply deny these versions, you might want to see what light novel readers who watched the Japanese dub with subtitles say about the anime. The English dubbing studio listened to the light novel readers, hence characters like Naotsugu seem to changed a lot in the English dub, but in fact, he’s now closer to his light novel character traits than the Japanese version. Other characters like Nyanta and Maryelle also seem very different, but they actually still match their actual personalities set in the light novel even though the voice acting using a different route compared to the Japanese dub to get it across. In fact, Nyanta’s voice acting is quite brilliant as it still allows his “cool cat gentlemen” personality to show even though he’s not saying “nya” all the time like in the Japanese version and allows for a better connection with the American audience with this version of a gentlemen. This new voice acting is actually purposely planned for later parts Nyanta deals with to allow better connection to him with the English speaking audience.  The new witty dialogue added with the story also helps bring these characters to life and give more depth to theses characters as well, giving a deeper sense of connection with the many character’s of Log Horizon. Extra bits of character development are even sneak into the English dub as well, hence adding goodies to this version of Log Horizon. The reason for all these changes to go closer to the light novel is due to the dubbed anime is coming out before the light novel in the USA and will be a driver to bring new people into the Log Horizon light novel series outside those who watch the subtitled version or read the light novels and manga online.

In fact, the characters and how they are perceived are not the only changes. The dub is more of a proper translation of the light novel compared to the Japanese anime. The Japanese anime did a lot of references to it’s spin-offs and fan related projects as parts of it is actually fan made, hence for anime only watcher, it really threw some people for a loop with areas in the anime making no sense until you read the spin-off material like Honey Moon Logs and such like I did. There is still a few shout outs in the English version, but much of these have been toned down greatly and serve more as an awesome treat for really big fans looking for said Easter eggs than hindering the story. The confusing references have also been removed and replaced with dialogue that is actually more understandable to the point I will not be surprised if the Japanese fans get the English version subtitle for hardcore light novel fans and confused fans as it basically runs the whole first 13 episodes very cleanly storytelling wise compared to the original Japanese dub and even the derp moments in animation and voice acting are very minor compared to what I was expecting, almost to the point it is just the same issues the Japanese version has due to same animation. In fact, once you past the first few episodes, there is almost no animation mistakes outside what the anime already had from the Japanese dub.

Hence where I get to the actual storytelling of the English dub. Even though both use the same animation, the English dub does a whole lot better getting the story across compared to the original Japanese anime. This is pretty damn impressive considering they managed to do this with only minor editing and good voice acting. With the tone better established in the beginning, the later parts parts of Log Horizon has more impact and even deeper meaning from the original Japanese dub. Heck, even by episode two, I was getting goosebumps with uneasy air and anxiety the characters were having and the feeling of being lost and alone like when I read the light novel. Some of the lines in the English dub almost match the online translation of Log Horizon to a T to the point it’s scary and it works a whole lot better than them just doing the translated dub of the Japanese anime. The English dub used the source material to help build a better anime that makes it actually just as good as an anime as the Japanese version. Hence making them both compliment each other instead of one being glaringly better than the other like many dubs usually do and the DVD sets coming out a worth a lot more as you get two good versions of Log Horizon. In fact, I am wanting the second half of the season to be leaked early online even though I am planning to buy the whole first season of Log Horizon on DVD(watched the English dub episodes online out of curiosity of what I was getting). They had to split the first season into two DVD collections and it is so unfair! They had to stop right on one of the good cliffhangers of Log Horizon and its driving me nuts. If an anime dub is able to get me wanting more, especially on a cliffhanger like this, then it’s really good! Especially with just introducing one of my most beloved characters of the series and his voice acting is freaking perfect. Sorry, let that nerdgasm slip.

So, my final verdict for the first half of season 1 of the English dub Log Horizon? Again, it is one of the best anime dubs I have seen in a long while, but it will also be one awesome jumping off point for dub only watchers and hardcore anime fans alike into the Log Horizon series. Light novel fans also got their original characterizations back even if more suited to the English speakers, so it’s an almost overall win for everyone with this dub. The dub is even still mostly family friendly with no fanservice and minor cussing, which makes it actually pretty enjoyable for a lot of people. Yes, there is some cussing, but it is mostly all in the beginning where it’s actually understandable compared to other dubs I watched where they swear like sailors the whole series. Even the characters who keep it up actually use it sparingly  and its done at the proper times instead of them just swearing all the time. In fact, I can wholeheartedly recommend this to teenagers with no problems with watching all 13 episodes and seeing its still quite damn family friendly. Though, knowing how the USA is, they might not see it that way. However. I highly recommend buying the DVD of Log Horizon if you love the anime or you want a good anime to watch over and over again to always find something new you might of missed the first time around watching it… Though, if you are like me and like to binge watch good anime and hate being left hanging on a damn good cliffhanger, I recommend holding off on buying both DVD sets till the other half of Season 1 comes out. I have pre-ordered my DVD set and planning to pre-order the other set soon as I am not passing up having both the English dub and Japanese dub with English subtitles in my hands. Well, hope this was helpful, Auto out!

Friday Update #14

Howdy, everyone! I am quite psyched as I am just a few chapters away from finishing Volume 1 of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles! Well, the writing part since I am only now just posting the story online with FFNet getting the first chapter and Wattpad getting chapter 2 today. I just finished the climax and now writing the resolution chapters to finish the volume. I will be taking the chance to write a short fanfiction for the little series I started on Wattpad before jumping fully into Volume 2. However, I will also be finalizing Persona:Parallel Paradox and Digimon: Sinned Tamers planning so I can start working on them when not focused on Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles. I won't be posting those two for a while mostly due to I want to get a buffer going like I did for Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles. However, hope you all are having a great Friday! Auto out!

Friday Update #13

Howdy, everyone! And thirteen weeks later and it is finally time to get back to work posting. Today, Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles Volume 1 has started back up on Wattpad. The chapter will appear on FFNet next week at this time and will be updating every Friday. To keep up my buffer, I will be aiming to get chapters set up and ready to go every week along with writing new chapters each weekend, hence will still be giving updates on my progress. I hit the 26 chapter buffer this week and have three chapters ready to post after posting the first chapter. I want to try and keep on top of this to make sure I can keep up before adding anything else to post for now outside maybe a small fanfiction. However, I will be trying to get the buffers for Persona: Parallel Paradox going as I will be doing that slowly.

Oh, on a side note outside of fanfiction, I also watched some of the English dubbed episodes of Log Horizon and pre-ordered the first half of the season on DVD. Amazingly, Log Horizon is the first English dubbed anime I enjoy, mostly due to they stick even closer to the light novel than the anime and try to fix a few issues that was in the Japanese dub. Hence they are kind of two versions of an anime, but both very enjoyable. I will be probably doing a full review of the English dubbed Log Horizon once I finish it. Well, hope you all enjoy this weekend! Auto out!

Wattpad Upload: Log Horizon:Alien Chronicles Volume 1

Howdy, everyone! Time to dive into the database! Chapter 1 of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles Volume 1 is live on Wattpad! FFnet also got a teaser in the old version and the first chapter will appear in a new story of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles in a week. The summary, tags, and link are below. Hope you all enjoy it, Auto out!

Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles Volume 1

Summary:Summary: On the day the twelve expansion of Elder Tales: Homesteading in the Noosphere launched, 700,000 hundred people found themselves trapped in a world just like Elder Tales. Hence many come to call this event the Catastrophe, but Las Boss, a Game Master Druid, sees this as a chance to truly be free of the shit game he saw his old reality was. Sure, he lost his voice and his memories seem a bit off, but Las Boss is perfectly fine with that. He is now with the very friends he made through the game, Shiroe and Naotsugu, as they explore their new world to figure out how to live and thrive in it. However, the more they explore and even gain another comrades along the way, they begin to find out the world they are in isn't so much a game as they thought. Worse, Las Boss finds out he was not the only one from his old place transported to Elder Tales and there is more to the Catastrophe than simply teleporting gamers into the lives of Adventurers they played as. Something that could easily turn the paradise Las Boss finds this new reality into a brand new hell of a shit game he never expected.

Wattpad Tag Post/Quick, but Important Announcement!

Howdy everyone! Just a quick update post. As I mention in my past Friday Updates, Wattpad is shifting their search engine to focus on using tags instead of categories with how big their selection of stories(both original and fanfiction) has gotten. Hence, along with upload alerts, I will also be including the tags I use for the fanfiction. That way, if you can use the link in the post, you can use the tags to find the stories on Wattpad. Hence here are the tags my Naruto fanfiction one-shot Why Me? and short fanfiction You're Gonna Kill Me along with the titles being links:

Why Me? - Tags: awkward, comedy, fanficfriday, genderstudies, moe, naruto, narutofanfic, narutouzumaki, narutoxsasuke, one-shot, sasuke, sasukeuchiha, sasukexnaruto, teen

You're Gonna Kill Me -Tags: academy, akward, akwardness, backtoschool, comedy, date, dating, fanficfriday, hilarious, issues, misadventure, moe, naruto, romance, sasuke, school, silly. trouble

However, along with putting the tags here, I have made a page on my blog called "Fanfiction Archive."  It is where I am putting links, tags, and summaries of fanfiction that is my main ones along with popular ones like Why Me? and You're Gonna Kill Me in one easy place. The fanfiction is divided out in sections depending on type of fanfiction, hence making it easy to come through it as the list grows. However, on the Fanfiction Archive, I have made two sort of announcements which I am clearing up here.

One is the Ninja Misadventures of Love(title pending) series. I've decided I will be continuing Sasuke and Naruto's misadventures from Why Me? and You're Gonna Kill Me. However, as mentioned in the Fanfiction Archive, this is a side project and I plan to this series in various short fanfictions instead of one big one to see how that works for me. However, since this is a side project, I will only post up a new part of the series once it is completely done and edited real well. These fanfiction from this series will be only for Wattpad, hence don't expect them on FFNet.

However, the really big part of this announcement and also seen on Fanfiction Archive is Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles will be launching soon. I am working on Chapter 26 and once I finished that chapter, I will be going through the first four and proofing them to ready them for posting on a weekly schedule. The cover for this fanfiction is also ready for use on both FFNet and Wattpad. As I mentioned before, Wattpad will be getting the first chapter and a week later I will be posting on FFNet, giving a chapter difference between the two. The reason for this is it is easier for me to edit on Wattpad, so if I get any readers at Wattpad find mistakes before I post the chapter on FFNet, I can fix it without much hassle. It is looking I might make it for starting to post this week for Wattpad, but no promises as I rather not jinx it. However, I will be announcing on FFNet through the old version of Alien Chronicles with a short authornote and a special preview piece that is not part of the new fanfiction on FFNet the day I release the first chapter on Wattpad to let those who are still on FFNet know what is going on. Well, thanks for dropping by! Auto out!

Friday Update #12

Howdy, everyone. I've been on a bit of a writing binge, having cleared chapters 16-22 in the past week. That means within November, Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles will be going live on Wattpad and FFNet. Depending on the time I finish my buffer and when I get to finish the cover art for the fanfiction, I will make the announcement on a Friday as that will be my upload day for Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles. The chapter announcements for Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles will be separate from my Friday Updates, though I will have a link to it in the update posts.

Also, did not get to the tag posts this week, so planning to try and do it either this weekend or beginning next week so I can have it done before Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles is goes live. I will be also making a page for my blog that has the link to the stories and their tags so that people visiting the blog can easily find my story. Oh! Almost forgot! Happy Halloween! Just finished Inktober, too, hence hoping to get the cover art done soon! Auto out!

Friday Update #11

Howdy, everyone! This week has been another productive one with getting chapters 13, 14, and 15 done of Alien Chronicles. I am looking to finish chapter 16 today or early tomorrow. However, I have a bit of an announcement involving Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles. I have decided with realizing how many more chapters I have to go, I will be begin posting Alien Chronicles once I gotten 26 chapters completed. I plan to post weekly for Alien Chronicles till Volume 1 is done and will repeat the same buffer for Volume 2 before posting that volume.

However, I will be posting this story both on Wattpad and Fanfiction.net. Wattpad readers will get it first and then I will be updating FFNet a week later. The reason for the week delay is I have an easier time making edits on Wattpad and so if a fan points out mistakes, I can make the edits before it hits FFNet. Also, this makes it so those who followed me from FFNet to Wattpad don't feel cheated out. Also, my editor has been really delayed due to school and other authors, so the chapters I will be uploading will be unedited outside of maybe a past with my betareaders and my proofreading till I get the edited version. I will add to those a dedication to my editor as both thanks to him for helping me out and let those who like edited stuff know the chapter has been edited if they want to wait for the edited version.

Also, heads up, Wattpad will be my main site. The only fanfiction I have planned that FFNet will share with Wattpad will be the six I have planned: Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles, Digimon: Sinned Tamers, Persona: Parallel Paradox, Tales of the Three Worlds, Monster Hunter Ninja, and Disgaea: Ninja Hero. I will be slowly working on Persona: Parallel Paradox, but I will be building up quite a buffer with how long this one will be. I won't start Digimon: Sinned Tamers' buffer till I get Volume 1 of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles done. I will be doing short fanfiction, too, but I will only be posting those once done and edited. These fanfiction will be Wattpad only fanfiction and will not appear on FFNet.

Now, for those who are on Wattpad or look at it for my fanfiction, they are changing the search system(just found this out a little while ago) to focus on using Tags for searching with the issues they have been having with the genre categories. Hence future updates on fanfiction on Wattpad I give a noticed to here on my blog will include the tags I use to make it easier to find. I will also be including unique tags for those who don't want to dig through the system to find my stories. I will also be giving updates on current fanfiction like "Why Me?" and "You're Gonna Kill Me" with what the tags are. Well, thanks for coming by! Auto out!

Friday Update #10

Howdy, everyone! And I take back what I mention last week. October looks like it will be productive. I have gotten chapters 10, 11, and 12 done for Alien Chronicles this week. I have been also trying to start up writing Persona: Parallel Paradox so I can slowly get it going. Though, need to rewrite some things on my planning with trying to get the new start going.

However, I have finished the 30 Day Sketchbook Challenge! I will be focusing most of my writing on my fanfiction outside of doing my Inktober projects. However, I will be starting to write the script for the doujinshi soon. I am planning it to be short as it is for practice. I am thinking of doing it 4-Koma style since it is a silly type story. I will be posting the doujinshi both on my DA account and on here once I get it finished. Well, Auto-out!

Friday Update #9

Howdy, everyone! Again as I mentioned in my last Friday Update, this month has been slow so far for me. I have gotten chapter 9 done of Alien Chronicles and working on the next one. However, I have reached the area of the story where I will be reusing a bit of the original fanfiction, so I might get more done this month than expect. Mostly have to adjust the old chapters to my new format and add in/change up details where it need it to fit the new story elements. Hence I still got a bit of writing, but not as much compared to the redone chapters.

However, I noticed I have gotten an uptick in activity from You're Gonna Kill Me comments of late. One of which asking about if I am going to be making another short fanfiction or making You're Gonna Kill Me longer. At this moment, I will be trying to keep my focus on Alien Chronicles and getting it done. Editing has begun on this story, too, as I have an editor for Alien Chronicles, though mossysauce(editor) and I agreed on a slow editing schedule to fit his needs. I decided not to post Alien Chronicles till either I am done or at least there's enough of a buffer of edited chapters where I can post and still finish in time for volume 1.

But, with mentioning the above, I should also give a heads up on a small project I will be taking on once my 30 Day Sketchbook Challenge is finished by next week. I am doing Inktober through doing concept pieces for two possible original ideas I want to turn into stories. I have decided if I do turn them into story projects, I will do them in manga format. However, even with the work I am doing for Inktober, I still will have a bit of a ways till I get it into one-shot form. However, to go ahead and figure out my process for making comics and manga, I will be doing a Naruto doujinshi or fan comic. I want to get a idea of how I would go about making comics and manga before I jump fully into my original personal projects. The doujinshi will be a one-shot of an small side fanfiction I started on, but decided it would probably work better as a doujinshi. I will probably give a heads up when it is up on the web in case any of ya want to see it since it is a fan work. Auto out!

Friday Update #8

Howdy, everyone! Sigh, this week has been hectic for me. So much so I haven't gotten to type out Ch.9 of Alien Chronicles. I'm still writing it out in a notebook, but transcribing is going to be fun. However, part of why things have been hectic is due to the start of Inktober and realized I poorly choose when to start the 30 Day Sketchbook Challenge. I am half way through that challenge, so will try to wing it along with Inktober. Thankfully for Inktober, the inking part is what your focusing on so I can do a few under-drawings ahead of time to help myself out. However, with that and some other things, this month will be slow for me getting chapters done for Alien Chronicles. Still aiming for a chapter a week, but I got to figure out my new schedule and adjusting to it so I can work on my art and writing properly again instead of the odd times I been doing so the last few days. If any of you want to see my Inktober works, comment to let me know. I might do a weekly posting of those if people are interested, especially since they are concept work on possible original stories I am still figuring out as personal projects. Well, Auto out!

Friday Update #7

Howdy, everyone! Well, "You're Gonna Kill Me" did not win the contest, but that's alright. Wasn't expecting it to do so. However, this week has been busy for me. I updated my 6society shop with some of my doodles up as prints and been really working on my drawing skills. Only got one chapter of Alien Chronicles done this week, but got some major progress in my drawing skills so not complaining. That and I found Jetpens.com. I gotta order some refills for my brush pen and maybe get some new brush pens so I will be ready for Inktober. I will be aiming for the marathon run of a ink drawing a day in October. Hope you all are enjoying the now Fall season, Auto out!

Friday Update #6

Howdy, everyone! This week has been an alright one for me. I've gotten a good bit of drawing done along with writing. Though, trying to get my hands on some sketching greys Copic markers. How the hell do they end up all sold out at the local art dealers when I finally get a little money to treat myself? TTxTT Also, sorry for the late update, but I was trying to see who the winners of the Back to School contest by Wattpad Fanfic. Sadly, no announcement yet, so got to go ahead with this update.

I gotten Ch.6 and Ch.7 of Alien Chronicles done. The story is changing a bit from the original fanfiction I wrote. Mainly because I decided to jump into the deep end and do something that has bugged me in both the light novel and anime(and most Log Horizon fans probably feel the same way about it). Not mentioning it as it would be spoilers. Also hitting on one point much earlier to answer the lovely questions of "Why is Las Boss mute?" and "Who are all trapped with Las Boss" that everyone is pondering from the original in earlier than where I planned in the original fanfiction.

And "You're Gonna Kill Me"... If you see an Upload Update in the next two days, that means "You're Gonna Kill Me" was one of the winners of the contest. Welp, see ya next Friday Update! Auto out!

Friday Update #5 Edited

Edit: I am thinking of something, hence I removed my plans for the poll on FFNet and Alien Chronicles. Is this bad? Not exactly. There will be an extra update in the coming days to explain the edit to this post and I different poll will be up on my new Auto-nin13 profile(changed it from Mahou Shoujo-nin) possibly around that time. But, it will probably make fans of my works on both Wattpad and FFNet happy if I go with my change of plans. If I go through with them.

Howdy, everyone. Sigh, this has been a stressful week, but I gotten a good bit of writing done(not so much drawing). Though, hopefully this weekend and next week will be better as I got one major issue cleared out of the system and don't have to worry about one stresser for a month or two.

Now onto the updates! I actually gotten chapter 3, 4, and 5 done this week. I am starting to get a groove with my writing again. Another good thing? I might have an editor to help me out with my stories. Still working out how we are going to work it out, but glad I discovered Wattpad actually has an entire club forum focused on improving on your writing(literally called "Improve Your Writing"). You can find an editor as well as reviewers and critics who can look over your work to help you out for a price(not money, more like trading feedback in comments, dedications, and such).

So, what else is going on? Well, I made a promise on to a follower on Wattpad. If "You're Gonna Kill Me" is one of the three winners for Wattpad Fanfic's Back to School Contest(will find out next week in Friday the winners), I will be posting both the one-shot and short fanfiction on Fanfiction.net early. Not expecting it as this fanfiction is facing a smaller winner contest compared to it's prequel, but ya never know. If it does win, there will be an announcement in that Fanfiction.net version about what I am going to say below.

Well, thanks for coming by! Auto out!

Wattpad Upload : "You're Gonna Kill Me," Sequal to "Why Me?" Naruto Short Fanfiction

Howdy, everyone... Wattpad... Why must you do this to me? Sigh, well, this updates is about a short fanfiction sparked due to Wattpad Fanfic's Back to School Contest. And I am unfollowing that group so I can haul the plot bunny breeding. I need to focus on my main stories in the works. Back on topic, this is a short, six chapter fanfiction that continues right where "Why Me? closes off on. The summary and link below.

You're Gonna Kill Me
Summary-Naruto knew accepting Sasuke’s offer was going to lead to trouble. But who knew said trouble would crash down on him just the day after he accidentally found out through a kick Sasuke was a girl? Now, Naruto is trying his best just to survive having Sasuke as a girlfriend. No, more like a girl-enemy with how she is turning his life upside down to the point he is beginning to wonder if he is going to die soon from her shenanigans. The hilariousness and awkwardness filled moe romance between a prankster and boyish girl begins!

Friday Update #4

Howdy, everyone! I hope your week has been well. My has, though  yesterday was especially really good, a pretty alright week. Let me first get my fanfiction announcements out of the way.

First, finally got chapter 2 of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles done after something kept my away. However, soon, there will be a Wattpad update for the sequel of the one-shot I wrote, "Why Me?" Once this is posted, I am unfollowing Wattpad Fanfic and swearing off contests till I get some major headway into my main projects. However, along with posting the full first volume of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles on FFNet when ready, I will be also posting "Why Me?" and it's squeal "You're Gonna Kill Me" together on FFNet. Those writing prompts are great to kick start you out of writing block, but becoming a harzard field for me. However, planning for Persona: Parallel Paradox and Digimon: Sinned Tamers is almost done(just some minor details in PPP and a few more details in DST) and I hope to work on them while focusing on Alien Chronicles instead of working on side projects like "Why Me?"

However, what happened yesterday to be really good? Well, I finally got myself into Magic Box. It is an online course for digital painting. I am hoping to kick start getting back into my artwork and build up my portfolio. So, what does this have to with fanfiction? Well, one project I had in the works is making covers for my fanfiction for practice. But, I discovered something interesting with Wattpad(and Ao3 has it as well). I can put images in my stories, so I might add illustrations into some of my fanfiction for Wattpad. Not sure at the moment, but it would be great practice for another project sitting on the back burning at the moment. Well, hope you all are having a great day! Auto out!

Wattpad Upload: Collection of Naruto/Digimon One-shots

Howdy, everyone! Finally got my Naruto/Digimon One-shot collection up. I was planning to make the first story for it a stand alone for a contest, but forgot about the contest due to how the last two weeks have been.  Hence, now it is starting the collection. Here's the link below if you want to check it out.

Auto's Anime Reviews: Log Horizon Season 1

Howdy, everyone! The time has come for my first review on my blog and Wattpad(found I can do reviews on Wattpad, too!) Log Horizon Season 2 is only a little over a month away now and hence is the perfect time to do a review on the first season.  So, first, a quick intro on how I do reviews. These are filled with spoilers, but if you want to avoid them, just go all the way to the bottom to the "Final Verdict" where I will tell you if what I am reviewing is worth your time. Before that their is a brief summary of the review, pros, cons, and then final verdict and one other thing. Please note, this is of my own opinions, but I also really drive into looking on how stories work and will even read and watch the other variations of a series to see how they work compared to each other. Hence unlike many people, I will also be comparing stuff to source material, but it's not to compare the source material with the review material as they are two different media at most times. It will often being a critique on something that could have been used to make it better or should have not been taken from the source material as it downplayed the review material. Now, onto the review.

Anime Review
Log Horizon: Season 1
Summary
The game Elder Tales is a very popular MMORPG that has lasted twenty years and still going strong. However, on the day of it's latest expansion, Homesteading in the Novasphere, thousands of players find themselves trapped within a world just like Elder Tales, stuck within their own avatars. The gamers Shiroe, Naotsugu, and Akatsuki join up to face their new reality and the obstacles that really comes with becoming stuck within an MMORPG.

Pros
  • Story- Log Horizon's story is what I always expected from seeing "MMORPG" based stories and then some. All parts of MMORPGs are used instead of it just being a setting like Sword Art Online. No, I am not bashing it. This is just a pet peev of mine as a gamer. I love seeing how people take a game media and try to put it in a different format to use the game elements to tell an amazing story. Log Horizon anime does what it's web novel(yes, Log Horizon is a web novel that is published into a light novel) brought to the table very well. We follow the socially awkward Shiroe as he turned the chaos being trapped in the game has caused and turns it into order and deal with the results of both said chaos and order through his own means. Now, even though there will be some spoilers, I am going to try and avoid as many as possible. So, to sum this up, Log Horizon took the cliche of "trapped in a fantasy world" and turned it on its head by focusing on how to really turn the fantasy world your stuck into a place to live in instead of just an adventure and returning home. It does this by trapping the characters in a MMORPG with already established guilds and gamer politics within said world and many of the characters know the game like the back of their hand. We see not everyone really cares about returning and instead try to figure out how to survive in this world were death is not permanent and other things that has turned this awesome chance into a living hell created by boredom and bad ideas. Once said living hell is fixed, the gamers then discover the world's back story and such still exists and now has created a deeper world than before with its own politics and such that they have to deal with as they are Adventurers, the main fighting force against monsters. Because the story gives us many POVs from different characters, it easily gives us the amazing story even with our protagonist having little screen time for a normal main character. However, it fits his roll as a strategists who uses his knowledge and skills to work in the shadows to do his objectives and gives use far more insight if we have seen it mostly from one character. Now, this story does not get a lot of action till after where this first season left off, hence I am really curious of how Season 2 will be done as the next three volumes(6-8) have much more actions than Season 1 and the first season had executed the action perfect to match the story.
  • Characters-Now, this will be short, but due to their is so many characters, I would need several blog posts to cover them all. However, the anime does well like the source material to give us believable characters who work together with natural chemistry to tell the story. Even the once NPCs are now human and real characters, hence why I am keeping this Pro point short. Log Horizon really pulled off the characters damn well, though there is some minor annoyances where the light novel did better. But, they can be overlooked considering nailing such traits is hard in a moving media like animation. These characters all give us a view of a gamer community now stuck in a real version of their favorite game as well as the view of people who lived this world their whole like, a.k.a. NPCs.
  • Visuals and Music- Now, Log Horizon gets some slack from critics due to the characters look "generic" instead of a unique style. However, to me, this is a very good thing. This story uses even aesthetics of MMORPGs to get us into the story and allow the character's traits and personalities be the defining factor. You actually find yourself relating to these characters more due to their simpler designs and appearance. Aesthetic does not mean amazing graphics, just like in games.  In fact, just using the right style to work with your story works damn well like real video games Okami and the Tales of series even though they are not up to photo realistic quality visuals. However, Log Horizon is animated quite nicely with the backgrounds beautifully done and has the nicest 3D animation mixed in I seen in a good while. Even the little action of Season 1 feels perfect due to how they animated it and even the censors are done perfectly to fit the game feel of the world Log Horizon has built. Even the talking and exposition scenes feel important even though it might bore some people who are used to action packed anime. The music score helps bring this aesthetic to its peak, just like any well crafted game which uses mechanics, visuals, music, and such to really immerse you in this new world and that's what Log Horizon does best. The fact we are getting this from an anime is pretty damn amazing.
Cons
  • First Episodes Execution- Okay, now here's where there will be some spoilers. Now, the anime did do pretty good with the beginning that saves the rest of the anime from getting dropped right off the bat by watchers who are not video game fanatics like me. However, this slow start up really hurts this anime, especially since it is a niche market type for anime. So, what could the anime done to help it? This is one of those rare times I really wished the anime stuck to the source material more closely. Now, reason for not doing this is because of the station Log Horizon aired on, NHK Educational TV. Hence Log Horizon had to be kid friendly which I give Satelight Studios kudos for the awesome way they worked around this problem. They made the censors to death and blood like game mechanics instead of annoying ones like in Tokyo Ghouls. However, due to leaving out several important details in the beginning and then bringing said detail up several episodes late, it really throws watchers for a loop if they never read the light novel. This is hence the first four to six episodes of Log Horizon look like a bait and switch instead of a proper build up for actually the Round Table Arc of the story. Here's the spoilers, but they are needed these to make it work better. The reason Crescent Moon Alliance is so worried about Serara(their guild member in Susukino) is because she barely escaped being raped by Brigandia members. Brigandia was human trafficking in Susukino which is barely mentioned in the first episodes before whammed when brought up at the Round Table Arc. Sure, this is a bad crime, but it is not worth censoring as the way Log Horizon deals with it in the light novel. In fact, if they used a similar method to the light novel, it would have work for NHK and would have been a  great way in educating people how damaging even treating people like slaves can be. I mean, even Serara was scared shitless towards Brigandia for almost having their way with her. Add the fact she ticked off the leader of said guild by tricking him to escape really would have added to the tension better than the anime done. However, even though the Rescue arc was was rough, the anime left out the biggest thing that the first part of Log Horizon that made it more than just another story taking place in an alternate world. The fact the players themselves complicating what is going on and if they want to even fix it and return home like in the Light Novel. Now, I understand they edit out some things to ensure their 25 episode limit. If they had just added one episode and added the parts of the light novel where the Shiroe and others thought of the old world and explained on their own mindsets along with just Serara enslavement issues(just had left out the rape part), then the first episodes would have actually felt more of what the rest of Log Horizon was and gave a much better build up to the Round Table Arc. In fact, the first episode clearly the first three chapters of the light novel plus a different prologue and should have been spread out into two episodes instead to properly built up the characters and their situation.
  • Missing Details and Character Elements- Now cameos to fanfiction, spin-offs, and other things are awesome. Log Horizon takes this to a new level as actual fanfiction characters from the author approved fanfiction D.D.D. Diaries and details relating to spin-offs already made appear in Log Horizon's anime. Now, seeing your favorite spin off joining the main storyline is great. But, not keeping up the details(again, just spreading out the one episode, one damn episode) really hurts both the anime and the shout outs. More spoilers, but this is actually from a manga spin-off called Honey Moon Logs. It shows the Crescent Moon Alliance side of the story and shows why Maryelle is so affectionate towards Naotsugu. Without reading this, some of what Maryelle in the anime says confuses people, especially after Shiroe's group brings Serara back to Akiba. Also, the anime tends to leave out small traits which would make characters more likeable. A good example is Naotsugu as his pervy, underwear showing side is shown in the anime, but they don't keep his tic of referring to various things as "festivals." In fact, due to showing his pervy side way too much in the anime has made him a somewhat flat character instead of the deeper one I seen in the light novel and manga. Other characters suffer this as well, though Naotsugu is one of the most hurt by this.
  • Identity Confusion- I will be talking about two versions of this, one related to the anime story and the other through the viewers, but both hurt people looking into wanting to watch and enjoy an anime. As well as hurts how anime are made since studios are watching what people say about current anime airing and such. Since the former will have some spoilers, I will hit the first one so those who want to skip major spoilers can skip the story part.
    • Now, one thing that irks me is the fact people keep comparing Log Horizon with Sword Art Online. I have no problems with Sword Art Online and I have read it a bit. In fact, my big issues with SAO is pacing and the damn "second editions curse." Gets good series of all media all the time, so it's something I am used to. My problem comes from the fact Sword Art Online and Log Horzion are two different anime types being compared for just the fact they are set trapped in a video game. This is not true, even though they follow the video game version of "trapped in a fantasy world" genre of story. The difference is Sword Art Online is a wide audience type anime that aims for a wide audience while Log Horizon is a niche type anime that aims for a narrow audience range. You might be confused by what I mean, but it's actually a common thing many people don't notice. You look at anime in genres, but there is a ton of sub-genres many people don't realize exist that create the variety within these genres. A wide audience type anime tries to hit a lot of sub-genres like Sword Art Online with wanting to hit the same success as mainstream hits like Naruto and Attack on Titan. Irony is, Naruto and Attack on Titan are actually niche anime, aimed for specific fans and it just grew due to fans spread the word and people coming to like the story while reading or watching it. Don't get me wrong, there is niche and mainstream types that have flopped as much as been hits, but it is almost always niche anime will always have an edge over wide audience types. It is really hard to pull of wide audience type stories that focus a lot on characters without a deeper defined background and world to help support it like with niche type stories. Log Horizon is a niche anime aimed at gamers, political/economic story lovers, and fantasy world lovers. However, because it's story and characters is so well defined and built, even people outside these fan fields can find themselves enjoying this anime if they give it a chance. Even Sword Art Online fans if you stop bashing it as a knock off and look at it as just another story. It really annoys gamers like myself who actually want an anime geared towards MMORPG lovers instead of just an anime using our favorite past time as a setting and plot device.
    • And, now to Log Horizon's own issue of identity crisis. I will be hitting some spoilers, so if you want to just avoid this, skip down to the final verdict and season predictions section that is next. As mentioned in the first part of the cons, the first few episodes of Log Horizon gives it a feel of an adventure anime with a slow start. This due to details left out and such, but sets up the wrong expectations for those who jump into an anime expecting pure adventure and action. This is not bad, as what Log Horizon turns into is still good... Just some fans don't like the bait and switch feeling it gives. After the first episodes, Log Horizon gets it identity, but hits a bump near the end. Now, I did expect some slice of life which Log Horizon does well, but the Scale Festival arc went away from the slice of life you expect from a game fantasy world and tried a bit too much towards real life slice of life. I understand this was to give a nice little breather before the last climax, but it was a bit of a turn off seeing it was more "normal real life" instead of closer to the life these gamers had made for themselves. Geeks are geeks, though I also understand any type of slice of life is hard to do and the same part of the light novel suffers from this as well. However, thankfully, the anime shifts back to its identity with the crisis created during the Scale Festival, ending it with an awesome introduction of a major player for next season.
Final Verdict
Now, to the final verdict. Log Horizon is an excellent anime for anyone wanting a good story and a breather from constant action titles.  Even though a niche anime for gamers, it has a lot of things everyone can enjoy. Though, fans of pure action anime might be disappointed as there is not much action this season, though next season looks promising if you want to give Log Horizon a try. It even gives a new light on how the "trapped in a video game" story can be told and shows the deeper parts of MMORPGs that keep the players around. This anime can also always be rewatch over and over again, yet you will always find something new, especially if you read the spin-offs or light novels. It's actually fun seeing all the little Easter eggs in this series. I recommend buying this anime over streaming it. English fans won't have to wait much longer for the DVDs as they will be out roughly this Fall or Winter for the US.

Season 2 Predictions
Huh? There's more? Well, since this anime has a Season 2 on the way, announced right at the ending of Season 1's last episode, this reviews deserves a next season prediction. Now, this is my opinions, but this will be short due to I am going to avoiding as much spoilers as possible. So, here's the facts. At this moment, only Volumes 6-8 are out for Log Horizon's light novel. However, there is also confirmation from the author of the light novel we will be getting some cameos from a replay done by four authors who have played Log Horizon TRPG in Season 2. So, what are my predictions with pointing this out. Well, I am actually hoping for two ways this Season 2 plays out. The first would actually be the best to make up for some of the cons of Season 1, which is actually use the whole three volumes for the majority of the anime. The next three volumes start to dig deeper plot elements that the anime can really use one-up the light novel and make up for things they missed in Season 1 if they actually expand on those elements. However, we could also go the usual route of fillers in this season. Now, usually I am not a fan of fillers. I do like good filler, but anime have a bad rap sheet of using them in the wrong times and using the wrong subject matter. Log Horizon, however, just gave me a good expectations with hearing the cameos on the replay appearing in Season 2. If Log Horizon actually uses it's various spin-offs for filler instead of just filler made by the studio, then Log Horizon will be a very good anime and have a chance to really dive into the other characters which these spin-offs focus on. Add the fact Log Horizon has hints and cameos of these spin-offs and more, this path looks to be ripe for the picking for Season 2.

Well, I all hope you enjoyed my review. I probably won't be doing another one till next year since I need to focus on my own stories. I just wanted to get this one out due to Season 2 of Log Horizon coming out soon. Thanks for dropping by and have a good day! Auto out!

Friday Update #3

Howdy, everyone! Happy Friday and Labor Day Weekend! This will be a short update... Mostly because my brain seems to be slightly fried for almost work two weeks straight. No, that is not normal work days I am talking. Out of the say, thirteen past days, only one day has not been work. Though that one day turned into an errand running day.

Now, onto the fanfiction. I am hoping to finish chapter 2 of Log Horizon Alien Chronicles Volume 1 either tonight or this weekend and move onto the next. Though, I am taking a pure break either Saturday or Sunday to just purely binge read stories, watch some shows for research, and relax. I am also beginning to prep Persona: Parallel Paradox to start writing it as well. Hoping to do the same for Digimon: Sinned Tamers so I can work on those two when I can't focus on Alien Chronicles. Though, I have some other small things I am working on that might appear on Wattpad only, but it will appear only after I I reach enough chapters/parts(or completed) to cover a year of uploads. The big three above are my main focus and hence why I am trying to get Persona: Parallel Paradox and Digimon: Sinned Tamers ready so I can work on them instead of my little pet projects.

However, upside, if the temp work has been like I did this week, I will have a better times to work on my stories. That and begin investing back into my goals to make being a writer and illustrator as my career. Well, Auto out!

Group Alert! FFVGUnion

Howdy, everyone! As I mentioned on my first post, there will be blog posts outside my updates. Well, this is actually one I was not expecting to do, at least for not a good while. However, it's worth a shot and could help the other fanfiction communities outside boy band fanfiction grow and get out of the shadows. So, win-win.

Hence my first "Group Alert!" posts. They are a cross of a shout out/review of various Wattpad groups I find and have either joined or seem fit to mentioned here. Oh, yeah, forgot to mentioned. On Wattpad, you can form groups and clubs focused on various topics. Some even post challenges and host contests for other writers to join into. They range in interests and sizes, so there is a little something for everyone in them.

But, now onto the post. This is about a new group formed as a bit of an experiment. I am helping it out some as I like the idea and it's a great way for me to dive into the vast pool of Wattpad books. The group is known as FFVGUnion. It's a fanfiction group focused on writers and readers of video game fanfiction. It's a newly formed group still getting off the ground, but it's objective is pretty clear. Showcase video game fanfiction, provide tips and advice for video game fanfiction writers, and give a means to find video game fanfiction easier for readers of it. So far, the group is well over one hundred members now and hoping to keep growing even though just a few days old.

So, how do you join FFVGUnion? All you have to do is follow the group and comment either on the profile or in one of it's works to be considered a member. Have a video game fanfiction, be it based off a video game, related to games like having the main character experiencing his adventure like a game even if it is not, it is video game related and has it's own game(even if not a video game like Log Horizon, but really wish it was one) or a crossover with such content? Then you can hop aboard. FFVGUnion is working to make categorized lists to help readers and writers alike find fanfiction they like.  So, check it out if you want. Here the link right here: FFVGUnion

Friday Update #2

Howdy, everyone! Whew, sore and tired from my new job, but still got things to do. Welcome to my second Friday Update.

First, finally got Log Horizon: Alien Chronicle's last chapter for FFNet up yesterday. Another version of this chapter will be reuploaded later once this fanfiction beings running on Wattpad and a full version appears on FFNet(not in the original) to make up for my overreaction with FFNet. I have come to love Wattpad, hence it will be my main site and will be posting fanfiction there first and later posting it on FFNet later. It will either get a delayed posting like I am planning for Digimon: Sinned Tamers and Persona: Parallel Paradox or will be completely finished on Wattpad before appearing on FFNet with the other fanfiction I have lined up.

Next, where I am at with my stories. Got first rough chapter done of the rewrite of Alien Chronicles and moving onto the next one. I will be focusing on this story for now and get back to planning and beginning work of my Digimon and Persona crossovers once I get the rough chapters done for Alien Chronicles. But, while on Wattpad, I gotten involved with a group known as FFVGUnion. It's a group focused on video game fanfiction and hoping to act as a hub to help get these stories noticed and help out new writers on said genre of fanfiction. Since I do a lot of video game crossovers with Naruto and actually want to do some stand alone video game fanfictions in future, I am helping out.

Now, last, an unexpected thing appeared in my email when I got back from work. The email I got was a notification from the Wattpad's Fanfic hub that was hosting a contest I entered."Why Me?" is a little one-shot I did due to opening my big mouth next to my twin sister. I entered the contest the idea for the one-shot just for fun. Did not expect anything from it, either... Yet "Why Me?" was one of the ten winners chosen for the Gender Studies Contest! Sure, it has not a big reward, basically free advertising on Wattpad, but I am still shocked my one-shot was picked! Here's the link to the special winner reading list it's now on :

Well, that's all for now! Got to get some writing done tonight before I go to bed. I got work tomorrow, so need to get up early. Auto out!

Wattpad Upload : "Why Me?" Naruto One-shot

Howdy, everyone. I just uploaded another one-shot on Wattpad. This was actually an one-shot I was trying to avoid writing... But, I told my sister the idea and she pushed me to write it. Hence, "Why My?" was born. It's a piece for a contest on Wattpad where you write a one-shot of roughly 2000-3000 word count with the challenge being genderbending must be involved. Now, I won't be doing these one-shots often since I am trying to focus on my main stories. However, I hope you all will enjoy it. Here the link to "Why Me?"

Well, I will probably have the Digimon one-shot, which is be put a single standing one-shot, will be going up next for another contest on the Wattpad and then the final FFNet post of Alien Chronicles for a while after that. Till then, Auto out.

Friday Update #1

Howdy, everyone. Welcome to the first weekly update on my fanfiction blog. This week has been quite a week for me: Having a panic attack due to FFNet giving me a false site death flag, moving to and figuring out Wattpad, and finally getting a job all in the span of a week. I am not going to be getting into this much, though.

Instead, I will be mostly focusing on my fanfiction and the related stuff on that for this update. Now, I am rushing to get the last chapter  for Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles before rewrite. This is due to I will be starting work roughly 8 am to 5 pm this Monday for my new job. That is one of the main things I want to get out as it is the last FFNet post for a while. I am hoping to get it out either this weekend or early next week, but I am on my beta-readers' time when it comes to getting stuff proofed and edited.

Now, how is my schedule going to be the next few weeks? Upside, I already gotten into the habit of everyday, no matter what amount of time I have, to write. I been trying to keep a constant pace of 1,000 to 3,000 words a day instead of my binge writing of 7,000 to 10,000 in one day. The later resulted in my some issues earlier this year. I am also working on my proofreading and editing skills with attending writing groups both in person and online, though it's a slow go to get back where I was before college and get better at that.

Downside? I will have less time to write and draw, let alone proof, edit, and posting with getting a job. Hence why I am doing the rewrite of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles instead of outright beginning to post it on Wattpad. It's not just to fix up things. I will be finishing the last part of volume 1 and get it as polished as I can before I post the rewrite up. I will be posting finished works weekly or biweekly depending on the length of my chapters for my fanfiction on Wattpad. Then, the finished story will be posted on FFNet and Ao3 if FFNet looks to be still stable now with seeing the FFNet staff accidentally trolling the easily freaked out writers and readers like myself. Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles' rewrite will get a full upload on FFNet once finished on Wattpad while other stories will get a chapter by chapter release.

So, if I am going to be silent for a while, then why even do updates on my blog? Well, I will be doing one-shots on Wattpad, some of which you all might like. I already have one collection up and decided I will be having the Digimon/Naruto crossover one-shot on its own to put to a contest on Wattpad. Now, as I warned in the fanfictions these two one-shots were in, these one-shots will be random and only appearing when I have the time and idea. My main focus will be my fan fiction stories. However, different one-shots will also be appearing. One due to my big mouth and my twin sister is pushing me to write it for another contest on Wattpad.

Now, I decided I will be doing my fanfiction in parts much like I am doing Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles in volumes. This has helped me keep my plot focused in my Log Horizon crossover and easily keep going even when I am not feeling like writing. But, what do I mean in parts? Well, I will be writing my stories much like how comics, manga, and light novels go. They do their stories in arcs and only one or a few arcs are seen per release of a volume or issue. Once the issue is done, it takes a couple of weeks or months for the next release of a volume or issue. Mamare Touno's Log Horizon which is a web serial in light novel format works this way and is free before it is published as the light novel. This will allow me to cycle through releases of the current stories in my reserves and keep myself from wearing down. My goal is to to get Volume 1 and 2 of Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles done before starting the cycle with adding Persona: Parallel Paradox and work on those two till I get myself where it is second nature.

Well, that's all I have to say for now-Oh, wait! Almost forgot. Though there will be mostly updates for now here till I get my schedule straighten out and back on track, there will be a few anime reviews appearing on this blog. Mainly due to with second season of Log Horizon coming out this October, I really want to get a written review up here along with a prediction of how the next season is going to be like. That one might be the only one to appear here this year since I am going to focusing on my fanfiction, but some more might appear if people like it and helps keep the blog active. Alright, this is all for the Friday Update, Auto out!

First Upload to Wattpad : Collection of Naruto/Persona Oneshots

Howdy, everyone. Finally got to test out the Wattpad publishing system. The story is the one-shot I had in Persona: Parallel Paradox. It starts the collection of one-shots of Persona/Naruto crossovers that will be appearing randomly as I work on the rewrite of my Persona/Naruto crossover. I will be trying to keep the authornotes in these one-shots really short, but will give some heads up on where I am at with the rewrite in these one shots along with on here on the blog. Below is the link to the one-shot collection. So far, I find the publishing system actually quite easy to use, though took me a moment to figure out how to make parts and such. I will be doing a weekly update tomorrow to explain what's going on and what to expect in the coming weeks.

Welcome to My Den

Howdy, everyone. Auto-nin here, and welcome to my den-I mean, blog for my fanfiction!... Sadly. I was not expecting to have to do this so soon. I was really hoping to to hold off till at least a few more months to get more research and get my reader' opinions on moving and such. But, my nerves are already shot and with finding out I am not the only one worried about FFNet's condition, I am moving to Wattpad. However, if you are seeing this, this was the current winner in the community communication section of the poll: an individual blog for my fanfiction. Sorry if it is a bit rough at the moment. That will be fixed in the coming days as I get things set up with recovering my broken nerves.

Now, what will you see here on my blog? For one, updates on what is going on with my fanfiction. I am moving onto Wattpad which actually gives me some better means to communicate with my readers. However, as I am tried of having to do chapter notices and authornotes, hence this blog was born for. It's not because I am lazy, but because my readers come to read my stories, not extra junk about what is going on. I feel horrible doing it. Especially with how this year has been turning out with getting back into writing and I seemingly pissed off some deities who like to make your life go from one extreme or the next. It's probably the only reason Akame ga Kill anime tone and pacing issues aren't as grinding on my nerves as such usually does for such issues.

But, is there anything else this blog will have other than updates and such? Heck, yeah. Part of the reason I wanted a place where my readers can come together was not just to tell them what is going on. I wanted to make a community where the readers of my stories and myself can also have discussions on various things from my fanfiction to even the current trends in both the original works and fan works. Hence along with updates, you'll be finding other things... Once I figure out how to work some of them here:

  • Reviews-Yep, I will be doing my own reviews on manga, anime, games, light novels, and fan works within that scope. Even with getting employment hopefully soon, I have been finally able to work in getting back into my main interests. I love discussing what I watch, play, and read, so seems fitting.
  • Discussions- As I mentioned before, I would love to have discussions with other like-minded people. Hence why once I figure out how I can do this on this blog, I will have a place where we can discuss various things within the scope of original and fan works in entertainment media.
  • Tips and Advice-With the fact my moving is due to FFNet's issues, I released the importance of having a back-up plan. I was lucky I had it roughly set up. However, I also want to help out other people who want to write fanfiction or even there own original work. So, I am researching alternative places to Fanfiction.net and also learning how they work. I am also planning to stay up-to-date with Fanfiction.net as there is other people on other platforms wondering what is going on with Fanfiction.net Also, this year has been quite a learning curve for me and I want to share things to help others from experiencing them or if they experiencing the same problems, they don't have the same issues I had solving them.
Again, thank you for those of you have read my stories. I apologize for my sudden move and change of plans. I am hoping after the move is done, things will hopefully settle down for me and I can actually focus on my writing projects. You won't see much of the above at first due to I will be focusing getting Log Horizon: Alien Chronicles Volume 1 to get it set up for Wattpad.

However, I will be doing a weekly update here for whats going on, just like I was using Patreon.com for. I no longer have the campaign as I am planning to use my Patreon account for something else at a much later date... Mostly due to  this move happening faster than expected and I have to put it on the back burner again. Well, great of all to come see what my blog is about and if your a reader of my stuff, keep checking out this blog. I will be setting soon the day I will have my weekly update on. Auto signing out.
